What is a therapeutic bear?

The therapeutic bear is much more than a hot water bottle! Its effectiveness comes from the osmosis of moisture caused by heat or cold. This therapeutic bear by Béké-Bobo is recognized by Health Canada and the European Union as a medical device.

Aside from its benefits in reducing tummy aches, colic, ear infections, bruises and everyday aches and pains, it can be calming for your children when they are anxious.

The weight and size of our therapeutic bear have been designed to provide your child with maximum comfort. The Béké-Bobo bear is very useful in the bedtime routine or during a crisis to help your child relax, by placing it on their ribcage, heated or cooled. The weight of the bear makes the child aware of their breathing and it slows down automatically. And, since it soothes all aches and pains – it's a must-have for any new parent! Indeed, our wonderful bear could save you many sleepless nights…

COLD
Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours in a resealable plastic bag to prevent it from absorbing food odors. Remove from the bag and place on the skin.

HOT

Microwave: Remove the cereal pouch from the cover. Heat for 30 seconds in the microwave (1000 watts) and replace the cereal pouch in the cover. Test the bear on an adult's skin before placing it on a child's skin to avoid the risk of burns. Do not overheat.

Oven: If you don't have a microwave, instructions for heating your bear in the oven are included in the package.

TEST THE HEAT ON AN ADULT'S SKIN BEFORE USING ON A CHILD. If the bear is too hot, wait a few minutes before placing it on the child.

Read the instructions on the product carefully before use.

Care instructions

  • To wash the bear, first remove the cereal pouch from the bear. Machine wash the cover only in cold water. The cereal pouch is not washable. The cover is very safe to machine wash and dry at medium temperature.
  • If the bear has taken on the smell of the freezer, add a few drops of vanilla essence to a small glass of water, place it next to the cereal bag in the microwave, and heat it for 15 seconds. The odors should fade.

The bear is made of a 100% polyester Minky fabric cover and a cotton pouch filled with a carefully chosen blend of cereals. It comes in a choice of three colors and features playful patterns on its belly. It comes in a box with a window revealing the bear, which also features the story of the Béké-Bobo bear and instructions for use.

For in-store purchases, you have ten days* to come to the store for either a refund or an exchange.

For online purchases, you may return your merchandise, at your own expense, within 15 days of receiving your order. You can receive a refund* if the merchandise is returned to us in its original, unmodified condition, with its price tag and in its original packaging if it is a new product. Please note that for an exchange, new shipping fees will be charged to you.

DEFECTIVE ITEM

We will refund shipping costs for the return of a defective item. We will ship a new item to you free of charge for shipping or handling. You may return the defective item within 30 days of the date you received your order. You can obtain a refund or exchange if the merchandise is returned to us in its original, unmodified condition, with its price tag and in its original packaging, if it is a new product.

SHIPPING COSTS FOR ONLINE ORDERS AND TERMS (excluding gift cards)

Your delivery is free for purchases of $125 or more, before taxes. This offer is valid for shipments to Quebec and Ontario only. For any purchase under $100, a flat rate of $10.00 plus taxes will be applied.

 

For all other provinces, your delivery is free for purchases of $200 or more. A shipping fee of $35 will be applied for orders not reaching $200.

We reserve the right to apply additional shipping fees for certain remote cities and regions, as well as for deliveries of packages with abnormal dimensions or weight. You will be contacted by a member of our team if additional fees apply.

Orders where the shipping address differs from the billing address and orders over $500 may be subject to certain checks and may be refunded.

Also, we reserve the right to reduce or cancel an order when the number of identical items is high. We will contact you about this.

DELIVERY TIMES

As a general rule, delivery is usually made within three to five business days (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays).

Please allow up to twelve business days for delivery to more remote regions. These deadlines cannot be guaranteed by Mlle & Coco.

Mlle & Coco disclaims all responsibility in the event of a missed deadline caused by an error on the part of the third party performing the delivery.

 

TRACKING YOUR PACKAGE

Canada Post undertakes to leave the package at the nearest post office if no one is present at the time of delivery to the address provided during the order. In this case, a Delivery Notice Card will be left at the door, providing you with the necessary information to retrieve the package. No signature is required at the time of delivery to the address provided during the order, but a valid photo ID will be requested at the post office to pick up the package.

Please note that post office boxes (P.O. box numbers) are not allowed for delivery.

We also use Purolator's services for package delivery where the company has a nearby office.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS

Currently, we do not make any international merchandise shipments.

When you purchase online, the free "In-store pickup" option is offered to you when entering your billing information.

PRODUCT UNAVAILABILITY

However, it is possible that an item, size, or color may be out of stock when you place your order. Once your order is processed, you will receive an order confirmation indicating the receipt date, availability, and price of each item ordered. It may happen that we have to cancel an online order if, for example, the ordered items cannot be shipped due to unforeseen circumstances. We will then contact you to inform you and explain the situation.

While we strive to meet your needs as much as possible, we reserve the right to revise an inaccurate price or item description and to cancel or refuse an order for an item with an inaccurate price or description. ORDER CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION

If you wish to cancel or modify your order once the transaction is complete, you must contact us as soon as possible, either by email at info@mlleetcoco.com or by phone at (581) 742-4240. We will do our best to satisfy your request. However, we cannot modify or cancel an order once it has entered the shipping process. Please refer to our merchandise exchange, return, and refund policy for more information.
